Hole 15

The 15th Hole – Par 4 Men – Par 5 Women

Hole fifteen is a great hole – toughest hole on the course and without doubt earns its number 1 stroke index rating for the men. Whilst much easier for the women, you will still need three good shots to hit the green.

Measuring 408 for men and 379 for metres for ladies off the back markers, you have water off the tee on the right.  This water hazard is a beautiful lake, which runs up both 15th and 18th holes. if you manage to hit the fairway, the second shot is long, uphill and generally into the North East breeze. Five is a good score with most golfer not being able to reach in two shots. The green is shadowed by the clubhouse with many members watching you perform your art.

PRO TIP:
A controlled draw is the right tee shot for the fifteenth. For the rest of us “mere mortals”, watch out for that slice – you could end up in the water. Take one more club to get up the hill, as many a ball rolls back off the fast green.
