Round 6 – Sunday 9th March V Twin Creeks @ Twin Creeks 7am
Our team lined up as follows:
Angus Radford
Andrew Sutton
Justin Avendano
Shannon Cameron ( C)
Jason Corotto
Mark McInnes
Michael Judge

Debuting on the day, none other than Graeme “Doc” MacDougal.
A mild misty morning greeted us at Twin Creeks. I was very confident of another good result after the big win last week and as mentioned, I really felt we had turned the corner.
Drama early in the day with our number three player, Justin Avendano, collapsing on the range with a severe nerve issue in his neck and unable to tee it up. With no reserve player present, as Twin Creeks had advised they had no one to play, we needed someone to step up and fill in at number three.
The match was very tight all day. However, our guys seemed to perform very well in the middle of the course and onto the back nine, running out convincing 4.5-2.5 winners.
A fantastic effort by all given the circumstances. I think everybody felt enthused and lifted with the inclusion of the young debutant in the lineup. Congratulations to Mark Mcinnes for winning another undefeated player medal and team captain Shannon Cameron, who is not far behind as a standout across the season.
I would describe this as a season that could’ve been. If one of the results against Pennant Hills went our way we would have won the section. It came down to a couple of putts on two different days. That’s how close it can be.
Again, well done to our team. A very solid effort and as usual representing our Club in a manner we can all be proud of!!!!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Emma, Kate, Tegan and Cafe staff for their efforts in hosting our visitors throughout the season. A fantastic job by all concerned.
Our Golf Course was highly praised by our visitors and presented second to none again this season. Massive congratulations and well done to Course Super Nick Taplin and his team. Thanks very much, Boys and keep up the good work!!!!
Many thanks to all our caddies and supporters who came out to watch the team play this season. Your attendance/participation is greatly appreciated by all.
Take care and see you at MVGC sometime soon. We will be back and looking to do bigger and better things next year!!!
