Jack played at Concord Golf Club yesterday in his final PGA match of his trainee career.
Before commencing play at Concord yesterday, Jack required a top 5 finish in this last event to become the overall Order of Merit winner for 2022!
In the NSW PGA Trainee Order of Merit, ranking points were accumulated over all the events played during the year. Jack played in 22 events throughout 2022 and was already 6 points clear of his nearest runner-up despite playing in less events than some of his fellow trainees.
Starting on the 10th hole Jack was in control early with birdies on his 3rd, 5th and 6th holes. Some tough holes through the middle saw his score drop back to even par. Jack’s accuracy off the tee and around the greens saw him pick up two late birdies on his 16th and 17th holes to finish the day at 2 under par.
This score secured 2nd place for the day’s event and confirmed his overall win in the Order of Merit by an amazing 13 points! Great way to finish off a fantastic year of golf from Jack.
