Multi-tee Competitions

The Club has received feedback from many of our members about the desire to play a shorter course but not be separated from the rest of the field in doing so. We want to ensure that our members continue to enjoy playing on the course that best suits them and not be discouraged by the length or difficulty of the course. In a bid to keep more of our members involved in the daily competitions with their friends, we will now be allowing multiple tee options to be in place for the same competition.

The handicap system now allows for players to choose which tees they want to play from then adjusts their handicap accordingly, and allows all players to be involved equitably in the same daily competition. This way those members wanting to play off our shorter tees can do so and enjoy the course on their terms while still being competitive in the main competition of the day.

Upon registration at the Pro shop please let Gerard and the team know which course you will be playing from and they will register you accordingly. The adjusted handicap for that course will then print out on your scorecard or be shown in the MiScore app.

Please note that your choice of tees upon registration is constant throughout the round, no changes can be made whilst in play or disqualification will result.

The competition of the day will be as noted in the fixture book with the default courses most days being the Ladies Red course and the Men’s Blue course. There will now also be the option of playing in the shorter Yellow course as well.
Depending on the competition and our ability to set the required courses up in the morning we may in future also offer the options of the White course and the Black course.

We hope these shorter options are well received and encourage more of our members to give them a try
