Twenty-seven Mona Vale women members competed in the Barrenjoey Women’s Classic, held last week on six Northern Beaches courses. Congratulations to Nina Lindahl who was sixth at Bayview in Division 3 Stableford. And congratulations too, to the team of Janie Pocklington, Trudy Gaal, Kate Cocoran and Selina Pyle. Their team placed fourth in the team event at Monash.
On Presentation evening, Kate Cocoran walked away with 2 fabulous prizes – an electric BMW to drive for a weekend and a lunch onboard the Viking Orion later this month. Enjoy those prizes Kate!
The Barrenjoey Women’s Classic raffle raised just over $11,000 for the charity, Women and Children First, which helps women and children escape domestic violence and abuse. Thank you to all the Mona Vale members who bought tickets. Your generosity is very much appreciated.
We look forward to Mona Vale being part of this event next year, and hope many of our members join in what is a wonderful celebration of golf on the Northern Beaches.
