The Board has released architectural concept drawings for the possible redevelopment of the ground floor of the Clubhouse in conjunction with the resolution of the EGM to explore options for the sublease of the first floor of the Clubhouse. In considering this option, the Board has determined to seek the establishment of a sub-committee to assist the Board in its consideration of the lower floor redevelopment.
Purpose of the Sub-Committee
The Board is mindful that the expertise of the members of the Club is such that members can have a beneficial input into the details of the ground floor and assist the Board in its determination of a range of issues as they arise and require resolution. Without limitation, these can conceivably include issues associated with:
- Architectural or drafting details including working with appointed experts to develop a final plan
· Project planning and management
· Approval and certification
· Construction and fit out including structural details and other regulatory requirements
· Internal finishes and colourings including furnishing details
· Finance and staging options
Role of the Sub-Committee
The role of the subcommittee is purely advisory. All decisions will rest with the Board. The committee will meet initially on an as needed basis but will be mindful of the timeframe the future sublessee has for the redevelopment and occupation of the upper floor of the Clubhouse.
Expressions of Interest
The Board is seeking expressions of interest from members who would like to assist in this process and who consider they have expertise to assist the Board in the development of this proposal. To this end members should consider their time capacity to involve themselves in this process. If interested, members should discuss with the General Manager of the Club their interest, commitment and expertise such that the Board can make a decision on the make-up of the committee to assist in taking this matter forward.
Yours sincerely,
Ross Fleming
