Dear Members
Today we are following up on Tuesday’s email relating to timesheet bookings.
We have received some very positive feedback on our proposal’s and have considered some further beneficial adjustments that can be made.
We will expand the waitlist prioritisation to include both Saturday and Wednesday timesheets.
Any member booking for the next weeks sheet, who does not get an 18 hole round on either Saturday and/or Wednesday, will need to put their name on the wait list for that competition. If you miss out, you will be able to get a priority booking for the following weeks sheet!
NOTE: The names on the waitlist for the competition will be reviewed on the day prior to the event. If you are not on the waitlist you will not get access to priority booking. See example and procedure below.
Booking procedure for members who are unable to get a game for this Saturdays sheet.
· On Friday you can ring the Club on the usual number at 1pm (1hour before normal booking time) and book for the following week Saturday sheet. You must be on the waitlist at the time of the booking.
· You are permitted to book and play in the 10 hole competition on Saturday and still get the priority booking for the following week.
The normal booking process will apply for all other members, and will commence at 2pm Friday by either phone or internet. (even though its Good Friday Public Holiday, staff will be available as per usual)
Priority booking Moving Forward
· The 10th hole competition will be offered on both Wednesday and Saturdays going forward. This will give an additional 30 players an opportunity to play in a separate 10 hole competition, which is handicapped and prizes offered. The tee times will run from approximately 6.20am until 7.30am.
· All players in the 18 hole event will tee off the 11th tee.
· Priority booking for Wednesday sheets will open at 1pm on the Tuesday before and priority booking for Saturday sheets will open 1pm on the Friday before.
· PLEASE NOTE – ALL PRIORITY BOOKING WILL BE PHONE ONLY AND YOUR NAME MUST BE ON THE WAITLIST TO BE ELIGIBLE.
Social Distancing
Over the past week, the police have attended Warringah and Pymble Golf Clubs, the local community have been very observant in relation to the social distancing rules. As stated in Tuesdays e-News, you must keep a clear space from the group in front, stay 25 meters where possible to avoid the perception that you are playing in groups more than 2.
Thus, if the green and/or tee are occupied, stay 25 meters clear. You should still call up to maintain pace of play, but please observe the separation. Again, I highlight there is potential fines for the Club and individuals. We must avoid this if we wish to continue to play!
The majority of the membership have done a great job in maintaining the social distancing rules and for this, I thank you very much.
However, a small portion of members are not following the request.
The Board is taking these breaches very seriously and if they continue, disciplinary action including possible temporary suspension of playing rights is likely to occur.
Again, I am asking for your support of our efforts to give your fellow members as much opportunity to play our great course at MVGC.
Please direct all correspondence to the General Manager on manager@mvgc.com.au
Thank you for your tolerance, consideration and understanding. Hope you have a wonderful Easter
Cheers
