On Saturday 16th November we hosted our premier male amateur event, the Mona Vale Medal in great conditions. There were hopes of great scores being posted as 16 of the players out of a field of over 50 had handicaps of scratch or better!
Sam Neylon and our hardworking greens staff had the course in absolutely beautiful condition but playing tough off the back plates. Many of the players struggled on the quick greens and treacherous pin placements.
The winner on the day was Queenslander, Adam Hawkins from Palm Meadows Golf Club, who beat the field by 2 strokes shooting a two over, 74 off the stick.
Runner-up was James Han from Riverside Oaks, while third place went to our own Shannon Cameron with a 76 on countback from three others including Jack McLeod from our Pro Shop.
