The inaugural Masters v Majors Pennant Match was held yesterday, Sunday 29th September in sunny, fair conditions at Mona Vale Golf Club.
All matches were played in good spirit, however the Masters’ Team Captain David Hemsley felt the conditions favoured the younger players with “long holes and difficult pin positions”.
Much to the surprise of the self-assured Masters Team, the young whippersnappers of the Majors team won the day 5/3.
Thank you to those who came down to the Club to support both teams. The Masters team is already talking about a re-match for the chance to redeem themselves.
