After another full draw of exciting results the final match was no different!
Hugh Mashman and Gary Parkinson enjoyed a full round contest finally decided on the 17th with Hugh winning 2 & 1. Gary was very steady for most of the match leading 1 up, and it wasn’t until late in the round that Hugh was able to make ground. Well done to Gary for a strong run through the draw this year.
It is great to see a member of our Junior program enjoying a measure of success in our Honour Board events. The 2019 Cock of the Walk title now joins Hugh’s recent achievements as the 2019 C Grade Champion, and 2018 B Grade Foursomes Champion along with another junior, good friend Matthew Gillespie.
Hugh has shown that match-play is a strength of his game and is undefeated through his Junior Pennant and Encourage Shield matches to date. This year he will represent Mona Vale as our number 1 ranked player in Encourage Shield.
