Course Open – Carts On!

Finally, the sun has decided to look down on us; the green staff has managed to cut most of the golf course with the exception of a few small pockets. Large parts of the rough were cut by hand with whipper snippers and are still wet and soft. Balls will plug in some areas of the fairways and rough. I suggest keeping a close eye on most of your shots.

All bunkers will be out of play for the weekend; this means they are compulsory GUR. No play from the bunkers is permitted. We will have preferred lies in the general area until further notice.

A special local rule will be in place for this weekend only. If your ball comes to rest in a water damaged area or wheel tracks in both the fairways and rough, you may take relief, even though it will not be marked with white paint. Please check with your playing partner before taking relief.

Wet patches on the 15th
Tyre tracks on the 5th

Carts will be back on the course, but we would ask all cart drivers to be diligent and avoid all roped-off areas.

We have changed the event on the weekend to an Individual Stableford to allow everyone to enjoy a nice game of golf.

A short tee will be in play on the 15th hole for this weekend. This will help players avoid the wet areas near the start of the fairway.

Please take care around the course and remember to fill divots and repair pitch marks. The ground is very soft and course care is critical at this time of year.
