Last Friday was the final round of the Women’s Grade Pennant competition

We faced the top team, Castle Hill, who had been undefeated in all matches leading up to this final round. They also defeated us, which was a disappointing way to finish the season, though somewhat expected given that their team comprises new, up-and-coming junior stars. A special thanks to Allison and Karen for stepping in last Friday, as a couple of our core players were injured or unwell, and to Anne Tucker for caddying.
Finally, I’d like to thank Raina Laughton for being our Field Captain this year, and Lisa Spray and Samantha Ansley for playing in earlier rounds.
