The Annual Dinner and Presentation was held on Tuesday 28 November at Long Reef Golf Club. Everyone was excited to be there and 137 showed up looking quite dressed up for the event. President Anne Tucker welcomed members and talked about how hard the last couple of years have been with Covid, floods and the delay with the clubhouse renovations. Also mentioned the passing of Life Member Daphne Henderson Smart in her 102nd year. Presentation of prizes went smoothly with Peta Gilliland and Helen Stead taking home quite a stash of well deserved prizes. Shows that practice and lessons do actually pay off. However, Anne said as long as we are out there playing to the best of our ability we are all winners.
The slide show was very popular, with photos of past presentations, gala days and pennant teams. Again, Anne excelled with her organizational skills and with the help of the committee pulled off another wonderful presentation evening. The table settings were beautiful and were all purchased and money went towards funding of the evening.
The individual Tuckers biscuits were a hit but looked too good to eat.
