A very friendly day was had by the 17 ladies from Mona Vale who played in the Friendship Day at Wakehurst on Tuesday 19th September. Mona Vale ladies certainly looked the part with most wearing pennant shirts. It’s a shame we couldn’t back that up with better golf. Wakehurst took home the trophy this year.
Our best Mona Vale Team was Jill Castleton and Carolyn Westgarth with a score of 41 points and each won $25.
Kerry Gray and Emi Hewitt won a ball each for their score of 39 c/b. Jill Castleton was the outright winner of B Grade Individual Stableford with a score of 35 c/b and won another $25. Well done Jill.
Wakehurst is undergoing extensive green renovations which made putting rather difficult. There was plenty of wildlife to be found, such as water dragons, heaps of bird life and a massive red-belly black snake.
Good socialising and comradery after golf made it an extremely enjoyable day.
