BRONZE PLAQUE HOST DAY
It was Mona Vale’s turn to host the final round and presentation last Friday with once again a bitterly cold morning. Tucker’s homemade muffins and bronze biscuits were very much appreciated with a welcoming coffee or tea before hit off. Lady Captain, Janelle Branch, welcomed the six teams and comments from the Fields Captains ranged from wonderful course conditions to the quaint and cosy marquee. All were positive and looking forward to coming back when the new clubhouse is built.
BRONZE PLAQUE
What a finish – Mona Vale were on 10 points with a bye. Manly and Long Reef were on 8 points playing against each other. It came down to the final putt when Manly beat Long Reef 3 ½ to 1 ½ and ended up on 10 points.
Manly won Bronze Plaque with 17 ½ games and Mona Vale 16 games. Couldn’t get much closer than that!

Our two new pennants players have already put their hands up for next year’s pennants so we are looking forward to an exciting 2024 Pennants season.
SILVER II PENNANT
Silver II Pennant team ended the season with a convincing win against Asquith defeating them 4/1. Avondale won the Silver II Pennant as they were undefeated for all matches. Mona Vale came 5th but were only 2 points behind second place and a point behind third.

BRONZE lll PENNANT
BRONZE III were outplayed by Monash last week at Long Reef and went down 3 ½ to 1½.
The team was Cheryl Reeves, Maripi Cardinale, Marg Thew, Emi Hewitt and Gillian Twight. Congratulations to Marg Thew who won 1 up on the 18th and Emi Hewitt who squared her match. They play Roseville at Roseville next week.
