Last Sunday we managed to pull off a convincing win against Gordon, defeating them 4.5 to 0.5.
Gordon were unable to field any reserves so we just played the 5 pairs.
Shaun and Ros were winning 3 up after the 12th until the Gordon male opponent found his mojo and came back with a vengeance. Shaun’s massive drive actually found the right fairway on the 18th and they squared the hole. Mike and Susie won 2 up on the 18th despite Mike, with a bad hip, barely being able to bend down to pick up his ball. Anthony and Rosey held their lead the whole game. Matt and Niki had a convincing win leading to the biggest smiles I’ve seen the whole season. Ross and Colleen played a strong game, Colleen still amazed hours later at some of the long putts she holed.
This was our last match for the season. Massey Park won our Division overall to go into the finals. As Mike Radford noted – if a couple of individual matches had gone in our favour we would be playing the finals.

We’d also like to thank Andy, Simon, Mel, Russell and all the Bar staff for managing to host our guest clubs despite the challenges with the limited kitchen and seating facilities.
Our course presented and played extremely well with many compliments from our visitors. A special shout out to Nick and his team for their great and ongoing efforts.
