Following the resignation of our Course Superintendent, Sam Neylon, the Board are very pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Taplin to Course Superintendent at Mona Vale Golf Club.
Nick came to the Club in 2019 and was quickly promoted through the ranks to assistant Superintendent under Sam Neylon. Nick commenced his career in turf management at Wakehurst Golf Club in 2010. Nick served his time as an apprentice and was promoted to second in charge over a nine year period at Wakehurst GC.
Nick is a Northern Beaches boy, who loves his golf and plays off a handicap of 8. Nick lives in Dee Why with his amazing wife Jaqueline (his words) and said he is very excited by his new appointment and can’t wait to get started by returning the course to its former glory.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sam Neylon for his 14 years of service and wish him well in his new role as Course Superintendent at Strathfield Golf Club.
