Our Mixed Pennant team played Randwick at MVGC on Sunday. It was a spectacular winter’s day with not a cloud in the sky. The course was immaculate and everything was primed for a tough match against Randwick who were keen to knock us off our perch in first position.
All matches started fairly evenly and by half way it could have gone either way. The Flemings were having a field day with the opposition. The rest were all going down to the wire and every match finished on the 18th apart from the Flemings who won 4/2.
Who won you ask?
I’m happy to report that we won 3 1/2 to 1 1/2. A very tight tussle indeed.
Thank you to the team for a great win and the members for sticking around and giving their support, it really does make a difference on the day. We have a break for the long weekend and play Woollahra at MVGC on the 20th June, our final match in the division.
