This week the Round-Robin moved to Bayview Golf Club where Mona Vale took on Long Reef. We had a couple of new players making their debut for the season and Long Reef had recorded a very strong win over Manly at Wakehurst the week before.
Most matches were very tight with Mona Vale getting the chocolates 4 wins to 3.5 wins. Strong performances from Rob McDonald who won the reserves match 6 and 4 and Larry Bulgin who won 3 and 2. David Rose also won 3 and 2 as did Steve Hepworth. Nigel Westgarth somehow managed to square his match from being 4 down early, notwithstanding he was one up on the 18th tee. Doc MacDougal, Bob Paton and John Tolmie lost very tight matches.
Next Tuesday we move to Cromer Golf Club and take on the undefeated Bayview who lead the competition at this stage. Well done to all the players. We look forward to a continuation of strong performances.
