Change In COVID Restrictions At The Club And Greater Sydney

Wednesday’s announcement by Premier Gladys Berejiklian stated changes to COVID-19 restrictions across the Greater Sydney region.

From 12.01am on Friday, January 29th, the below changes come into effect:

  • Outdoor gathering numbers increase to 50
  • No cap on people at hospitality venues, subject to the four-square-metre rule
  • Masks not compulsory at supermarkets, retail or hospitality venues
  • Masks will remain compulsory for front-of-house hospitality staff and in gaming rooms

 

In light of these new changes in restrictions, the Board has also decided to ease the restrictions that were put in place during this most recent COVID-19 outbreak in the Northern Beaches. We will be returning to many of the same restrictions that were in place pre-outbreak.

Effective from Saturday 30th January 2021:

Golf Course:

  • Flag sticks can be removed
  • Current preferred lie in bunkers will no longer be in play as rakes will be back in bunkers for use.
  • Ball washers and bubblers are available
  • Nearest the pins are back in play

Clubhouse:

  • Touch screens are back in use for players to enter their scores
  • Showers, towels and shared amenities will be available
  • Social distancing at all times, adhere to 4sq/m rule
  • MVGC front of house staff will continue to wear masks
  • Compulsory sign in using NSW services QR code or the Ipad available in front of the bar when staying on the premises.

Effective from Wednesday 3rd February Clubhouse and Bunker Bar operational changes

The Clubhouse will continue with restricted operations until all COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. This will include our food and beverage offering to both members and visitors. We will continue to operate on a single use operation, meaning either the Bunker Bar or upstairs area will be offered at any one time. A major part of the Club’s COVID Safety plan is the adherence of our members and guests to remaining seated and not mingling with other groups whilst in the Clubhouse and terrace area. Please help our staff in respecting the conditions imposed on our operating procedures during this time.

The hours of operation will be as follows:

  • Monday – Bunker bar only – 9am till 5pm
  • Tuesday – Bunker bar 9am till 6.30pm
  • Wednesday – Bunker bar 8am till 3pm – Members bar 3pm till 6.30pm
  • Thursday – Members bar only 11am till 5pm
  • Friday – Bunker bar 9am till 6.30pm
  • Saturday – Bunker bar 8am till 3pm – Members bar 3pm till 6.30pm
  • Sunday – Bunker bar only 8am till 6.30pm
