Changes at the Club as of Monday June 1st

Changes at the Club as of Monday June 1st

As of June 1st, social gathering restrictions will allow up to 50 people in a venue as long as the social distancing rules are adhered to. In respect to the food and beverage operation we have in the Bunker Bar, this is inclusive of both our indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Under these current restrictions, the Club views our method of operation from the Bunker Bar as the most viable option. We would like to thank all our members who have supported our takeaway operations and have adapted to these changes of service.

Whilst we have seating available on our Ceremony Lawn, our BBQ terrace area will remain closed to maintain the seating restrictions in place. As restrictions ease, we will renovate this terrace area for future use to increase capacity.

When the weather permits, we will continue to have one entrance and one exit to maintain a safe flow of traffic. With winter upon us, its not always possible to keep both doors open. Please be aware of safe social distancing during these times. To avoid congestion we ask that you move away from the bar after ordering and make your way to a table or outside.

When inside, please respect the restrictions that are in place, and do not move the tables and chairs as this affects the total capacity across both indoors and outdoors. Our staff will be happy to help move furniture for you, so long as we can guarantee social distancing.

The Clubhouse and Reception area will still remain closed until further notice. If you require anything from the Office or need assistance, please email reception@mvgc.com.au or call 9999-4266.

The following golf course related rules are still in effect:

  • Single usage per golfer, including one set of clubs per cart. (We have added 6 more carts to our fleet to meet the new demand)
  • Sand buckets should be picked up from the 1st and 11th teeing area only.
  • Flagsticks are to remain untouched and in the hole at all times. The penalty for removing the flag stick will be disqualification.
  • Ball washers are not in use.
  •  All rakes in bunkers are still not available for use.  You are permitted to take a 15cm preferred lie within the bunker. Please rake your playing area and foot prints with your foot or club to ensure a level surface.

As of Wednesday June 3rd

The optional yellow tee marker competition  will resume.

As of Thursday June 4th

June 4th will see the opening of the locker rooms, excluding the use of the showers and shared amenities such as towels, sunscreen, combs etc. When in these areas, please follow social distancing guidelines.

The Bundy Clocks are accessible at both the Proshop and at the touchscreens near the locker rooms. If all players are using the MiScore App, please bundy a blank card.

As of Friday June 5th

Each member will be permitted to book a group of 4 players, instead of 2.
