Last weekend saw the return of the Bundy Clock; I would like to thank every group as everybody Bundy’d off, as requested. Overall, the times to complete the round of golf were not too bad considering this was the first time back in groups of fours. The first few groups playing around the 3 hours 40 minutes, the middle part of the day averaged around 4 hours and 15 minutes and the latter groups were 4 hours and 30 minutes, we felt these times were acceptable.
We would ask in the coming weeks that we all make a big effort and to return to the 4 hours and 20 minute mark or finishing within 12 minutes of the group in front you. Some groups did finish outside the allowed 12 minutes, please remember to Bundy off immediately after your round. Some groups will struggle to finish if we cannot finish with the allowed times.
A few tips on keeping up with the pace of play policy
- Always keep up with the group in front and not worry about the groups behind you
- Keep moving and play ready golf, even if this means playing out of turn
- Once you have putted out, move to the next tee and be ready to play
- If you are unable to score due to too many strokes, pick up and move to the next hole
Please see below a picture of the Bundy clock. The location of the stamp is very important, we would like to ask all members to stamp there card as shown below. The top left corner of the card, near the players name and handicap. This can be achieved by inserting the card as close to the red line as possible, then pushing the card all the way towards the orange guide, which can be seen through the clear window.
Some members are stamping the card in various locations, making it almost impossible to find. This can sometimes result in a warning letter for not bundying off.
