Mona Vale played host to a Golf NSW Senior Order of Merit event on Tuesday 11th June. Our Mona Vale event forms part of the annual NSW circuit open to all male amateur golfers over the age of 55 years.
As always, our members Greg Stanford and Stefan Albinski did a great job of coordinating the event and there was a strong field in excess of 70 players. The weather was kind on the day, and the visitors were very complimentary of the condition of the course which was particularly pleasing considering the rainfall earlier in the week.
Local knowledge helped David Couldwell and Chris Stedman take out the Division 2 scratch and nett honours, and Mark Pearson won the day with a fine 69 off the stick.
Congratulations to Mark Pearson as this is his third time winning the Overall scratch prize in our host event, with all wins being sub-par efforts!
