The decision has been taken to cancel the final round of Major Pennants at MVGC.
The course is currently unplayable for any competition golf. Sam and his team are unable to access the course to ensure the course is playable and, more importantly, safe to play.
All the bunkers are destroyed, full of water and out of play. Debris is currently covering 50% of the fairways and rough and will not be cleared until next week.
Congratulations to Team Manager, David Nixon and the MVGC Major Pennant team for remaining in Division 1 for yet another year.

Mona Vale Golf Club v NSW Golf Club @ MVGC
A beautiful still Sunday morning at MVGC, the NSW team arrived early & were ready to play.
I was keen on a few specific match ups this week & with 4 players away the team selected to play was;

We were all more than keen to get a victory this week & I Believed NSW were a little cocky and thought they were here for an easy win.
Our team started well & just continued in that direction, at one stage we had all 7 matches up on the front 9. By half way we were totally in control with 5 matches up & 2 square.
We went on with the job on the second nine with some big wins & had 5 winners in pretty quickly.
The final result was MVGC 5/2 winners over the previously undefeated NSW who are also defending champions.
Congratulations to Shannon Cameron winning his first major pennant match and also a fantastic effort from Tom Hunt who was defeated on the 18th against an outstanding opponent.
This Sunday we play Ryde Parramatta at Ryde Parramatta and will be looking to take this momentum forward and win the last two matches of the season. Thanks to all our supporters who came out on Sunday, hope to see a few of you out at Ryde Parramatta this weekend.
