As communicated previously Mike McKinnon left the Board in December and we asked for expressions of interest to fill a casual\u00a0vacancy.

In the last week, I have been advised by Nick Abba that he needs to step back from the Board to concentrate on his business demands and prioritising time with his family. Nick has been a valuable member of the Board providing insight into the needs of our younger members and assisting on the Course and Match committees. He also provided much appreciated voluntary resource from his landscaping team to help us manage some of the garden projects we had difficulty keeping up with as we have had no horticulturist on the Greens team for some time now. We thank him for all his assistance and wish him well for the future.<\/p>\n

We have had a number of responses to our request and have decided to proceed with two of the applicants as casual vacancies from the January meeting until the elections in November when they will be able to stand for election to the Board.<\/p>\n

We welcome Neil McGregor and Peta Gilliland to the Board and they have joined us at a particularly busy period as we embark upon the Clubhouse renovation. Both bring good business skills and Neil has been working on the House committee for a number of months and Peta is a member of the Ladies committee so I am confident that they will be valuable additions to the Board.<\/p>\n
