{"id":19001,"date":"2022-08-02T06:45:59","date_gmt":"2022-08-02T06:45:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monavale.miclub.com.au\/cms\/?p=15992"},"modified":"2022-08-02T06:45:59","modified_gmt":"2022-08-02T06:45:59","slug":"upcoming-golfing-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mvgc.com.au\/cms\/2022\/08\/upcoming-golfing-events\/","title":{"rendered":"Upcoming Golfing Events"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tomorrow, <strong>Wednesday 3rd August<\/strong> is the start of the annual men&#8217;s Eclectic competition,\u00a0 and the men&#8217;s Order of Merit competition.<br \/>These competitions run concurrently with the Wednesday and Saturday competitions all the way through to Saturday 15th July. The leaderboards of these events can be seen in the Members Portal online.<\/p>\n<p>This <strong>Saturday, 6th August <\/strong>is the qualifying round for the 2022 Cock of the Walk event. We are looking forward to a well contested event after the disappointment of having to cancel the 2021 event.<\/p>\n<p>32 players will qualify for handicap match-play rounds beginning 13th August, continuing rounds on Saturdays 20th &amp; 27th August. Semi-finals held on Saturday 10th September and the Final on Saturday 17th September.\u00a0You must ensure that you are able to participate in all rounds to be eligible to qualify.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>All members wishing to qualify for this event must use a <strong><u>physical scorecard<\/u><\/strong> to record their round. You will also need to mark your scorecard with a &#8216;Q&#8217; to confirm you wish to participate in this event. The scorecard must be signed by both player and marker to be eligible.<\/p>\n<p>You will be unable to qualify using the MiScore App.<\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0<strong>Saturday, 6th August<\/strong>\u00a0is also the start of the annual T20 competition which runs concurrently with the Saturday competitions.
