Dear Members,<\/p>\n

Since we presented the latest update at the AGM, we have been very busy progressing our strategic goal for the clubhouse. It has been our strategic objective to retain and enhance the welcoming environment for members and create a revenue stream more stable than our previous function, in-house dining model.<\/p>\n

\u00a0We believe we are now well on the way to achieving both of these outcomes<\/p>\n

and this will give all members a newer, more functional and more enjoyable members’ area, plus provide a first-class restaurant offering on the upper floor.<\/p>\n

I’m sure many of you are wondering what is happening and how it will affect you, so the Board is commencing a regular communication program on the project and the various timings to minimise any confusion.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The four areas we will be communicating on are:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Status of the upper floor sub-lease<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Status of the lower floor renovation<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Project funding<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Interim operations whilst renovation is in progress<\/p>\n

To start this process, now that we have completed the design phase, I have prepared a short PowerPoint presentation which you can access through the following link.\u00a0

I will be communicating to you regularly, once we have more information on any of the above areas.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

All of this information will be posted on our communication board on the lower floor, where the strategic plan is displayed.<\/p>\n

\u00a0We are also planning for a Members’ Information Night in May, where we will invite our Project Manager (HGW) and Architect (Team 2) to be available to answer any questions you may have about our renovation. We will also invite the owner of the restaurant, Mr Con Dedes, to come and share his vision with us.<\/p>\n

\u00a0We haven’t forgotten about the course during all this focus on the clubhouse and we will be continuing with our strategic course projects, predominantly bunkering and drainage in the coming months.\u00a0 We will invite our newly appointed course architect, Craig Parry, to come and share his thoughts about the course, in the near future.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Board is very enthusiastic about our clubhouse project and we are excited about what the end-product can deliver for all members. I look forward to taking you on this journey with us and hope we can count on your support and understanding as we navigate this complex process.<\/p>\n
